I'm back for a visit to the fabulous Santorini. I'm on the dock in a pair of cigarette pants and a cropped, tie-top.

The white 'cigarette' pants are from One Bad Pixel (OBP) with a nice silky sheen to them. I've found their fit to be lovely (a little snug, I had to reduce my butt size slightly and I'm normally 'medium'!). A little pricey maybe at L$400, but they are worth it!

Also they're not too high, nor too low. Just enough for a glimpse of lacey g-string, but nothing more!

The fit is close, with good use of shade and texture and a nice clingy, tight feel, but none of the bare butt-cheeks or cleavage that some vendors call "sexy"

The pink tied crop top is from one of my new favourites, ColdLogic. They have recently been coming out with some fantastic mesh pieces and tops are just superb. The attention to detail is great and gives a real lifelike quality. Lots of colours too and at $225 it wont break the bank!

As you can see from this closer shot, the texture is great and offers something quite detailed and realistic. All of ColdLogic tops exude quality and this 'lockhart' is no exception.

...I especially like bows on the arms, a nice touch!

So to the shoes. Again these are HOC Industries, this time "Noir Pumps" (again they have a multi-coloured HUD for several colours, nail and skin textures). Great, inexpensive shoes at $175

Now I'm going to get down a little and show you what can be worn underneath to give a fantastic, sexy feeling, without looking cheap and slutty (although a little sluttiness isnt a bad thing!). These items are from La Rosa, the icon of SL fashion which has started to adopt some really good, low-cost mesh items. The lingerie isnt mesh and I dont think it has to be either, these and the clingy shorts/hotpants are probably the only SL items that dont need mesh.

I've also adopted a LAQ cleavage enhancer here, as I think the basque warrants it. I dont wear these all the time, but when I think that a push-up bra, or in this case, basque body would enhance cleavage in RL, then it's def worth doing. Should be worn when needed and the natural, loose fit cleavage worn when no bra is worn, or something like a loose shirt, or minimal support swimsuit.

Here you can see the difference with the 'no bra' cleavage on the right, and the 'push up' version, left. You dont always have to go for the push-up look though. I do find the no bra look is especially sexy however and when used with the right items or swimsuit, like this strapless, bargain L$49 Rosenwolf, is arguably a lot more sensuous...
...what do you think?

White pencil skirt (Maitreya), white heels (HOC) and funky, revealing, orange halter (House of Torn)

Ok, this is my first proper post, I hope you enjoy and it gives you an idea about what I'm going to do here, showcasing what I think are some of SLs finest creators.

Sexy from Amsterdam!

I'm wearing a close-fitting white (sugar) classic pencil skirt (length 1) from Maitreya at $350, white "Noir Stiletto" heels from HOC Industries $175 (they're actually multi-coloured, but more on these later) and a funky, sexy, halter from the House of Torn $200

I really like the look of the skirt, the colour (being white) can sometimes have a lack of detail or shading, but Maitreya are just so good at skirts (and other stuff too) I think they've managed to get the shading, detail and the clingy shape just right. So many times skirts can look too short or fit wrongly, but never here. I can't get enough of Maitreya...

Does my butt look big in this? The shading and the texture detail are all very good. White is notoriously difficult to pull off, but these guys do it well! They have many, many different colours, some nice herringbone textures and 3 different lengths; '1' which is what I'm wearing and is just over the knee, '2' which is just above the knee for a classic mini and 'mini' which is a shorter version that's still very classy (get real, I show my butt-cheeks to only the select few!)

Ok so lets take a look at the top now. It's from House of Torn and it's great value at $200. The detail is pretty special on this and it doesnt need an alpha (my shape is roughly 'medium' standard size).
hey, are you looking at my chest?
So many times these tops can look too trashy. Ok, I maybe wouldnt wear it to meet my boyfriends' parents, but this is a really nice design and the stitching detail is pretty fabulous.

The snaps dont really do this justice, I need a higher spec PC lol...

Great detail and tie back. Note the zipper on the skirt. Incidentally, my hair is 'Roma' from Truth and my skin is Imani2 in Coco, from LAQ with additional makeup from Glam! who seem to have gone now (More about my AV skin and hair etc in other posts)
Last but not least are the shoes. "Noir Stiletto" heels from HOC Industries which are really inexpensive at $175. Dont let the name fool you, they're not just black. Ok I know you can get cheaper, but these have a nice colour changing HUD which allows for several fixed colours and nails too. Their shape is neat and whilst there are some more detailed creations out there, these are really cool!

Those pinkies look great. HOC really do some low-priced great shoes and boots and most come with HUDs to control the colours and nails etc. Easy to use, fit quite well with minimal fuss.

There are some extra colours and nails if you activate the (free) HOC Industries group for the 'group exclusives'.

To mesh or not to mesh

Mesh fashion is something which allows your body still to move around, without having the crazy prim attachments sticking out of you like floating cardboard. Ok, so it's not perfect, but at least I can do this now...
No way could you ever have knelt on the floor in an oldskool prim-laden outfit. Ok, so it's not perfect (there are 'standard sizes' to think about, more on those later) and I have some slight wierdness around the knee area here, but this is so much better than before. Breeze!

Fashion Senses Awake - Meshing about in Secondlife

Ever get the feeling no-one wants to share stuff with you? I'm gonna change that. My little fashionistas are going to bring you the best (sexiest) female fashion from secondlife. So this is me, Caprice, on a recent fashion expedition. I've spent so many L$ on clothing I just thought it would be a good idea to start sharing what I like in SL and maybe save you a few bucks along the way. You'll find no negative comments here, I'm just showing what I love; secondlife fashion. In this blog I'll show you my favourite stores and what they can do for you. I'll give some guidance on the new 'mesh' stuff and just how much better this is (despite some shortcomings). I'll also show that you dont necessarily need to spend a fortune, to look good!
